Nothing can kill the chocoholic in me

Every time I cave into my chocolate craving, I immediately feel guilty.  Although I tend to make a lot of homemade stuff (cookies and such) to avoid store-bought snack, I still can't shake off the guilt.

Dark chocolate helps sometimes, but for instance, my kids don't like it.  My quest for finding that guilt-free and delicious chocolate treat continued.  Until I found these two recipes.  Bear in mind, my quest is ongoing and I am accumulating recipes as I along.  I have a few that were complete failures, but the two I'm about share have been tried and tested to perfection.

Behold, creamy chocolate mousse and overnight breakfast oats.

For the chocolate mousse, I used the following (this is enough for 4 small servings):

3 ripe avocados
5 dates
1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
honey to sweeten (depending on your taste)
toppings of your choice: nuts, seeds, or fruit

Put all ingredients (except toppings) in a food processor and blend.  Add honey to sweeten.

Serve and top with nuts.  Enjoy!

Now for the overnight breakfast oats.

Here's what you need (this is good enough for 2 mason jars):
1/2 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon golden flax seeds
2 teaspoons cacao powder
1 tablespoon chunky almond butter
1 1/2  teaspoons agave nectar (or honey)
1/2 cup milk of choice (I used oats milk)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence

Split all ingredients into 2 mason jars.

Mix until well incorporated.

Refrigerate overnight and enjoy the next morning!
This is probably my most delicious breakfast so far.  I like to eat mine warmed up (so either add some hot water and mix in or microwave for 30 seconds).
