Spreading Happiness - One Gift at a Time

I had the pleasure of attending the opening of PaperMoon at The Walk.  I was intrigued from the moment I received the personal invite.  It was elegantly presented and the concept inside was refreshingly different.  Wrap a gift and they will present it to a sick child.

Day of the opening, I walk in and the place is bustling.  People smiling, talking, and admiring the layout and all the products on display.  I can only think of one word to describe this place: joyful.

First step, you pick a gift that is tagged with the child's name and age.  This is mine.

Then, you choose the wrapping and get it wrapped by one of the the PaperMoon team.  I have never seen such a frantic whirl of paper-wrapping, ribbon-cutting, bow-making hurricane such as this one. I was blown away by the amount of people pouring in for this noble cause, and for the staff who did not wipe the smile off their face.

This is my gift, all dolled up:

There was a wall of happiness, where people wrote down one word (or two) of what makes them happy.

A closer look...

Can you guess mine? (center, with a heart on each end)

So for those of you who are bored of the usual wrapping outlets on this part of the island, you now have no excuse to ever present a dull package.

  1. That is such a great concept - to combine the opening with a charitable cause. Lovely photos!
