A Review & Some Words of Wisdom

Sometimes, the little things tend to have the biggest impact.
Like for instance, watching a funny movie that you randomly find as you channel surf...after a long and stressful day at work.  Or for example, drinking a soothing cup of tea on your porch as a gentle breeze sways your trees and your kids happen to be in the park...and all you hear is...silence.

Or, you curl up on your sofa with a chewy cookie and a cold cup of milk, reading your favorite book...

On your favorite gadget - the Kindle.

I can't say it enough - the Kindle rekindled my love for reading.  I love the smell of books and the feel of turning pages but honestly, the transition to the Kindle was..So. Easy.

I wrote a full-fledged review on My 2 Thumz here and it's worth reading if you want to know more about price and other details.  The amount of books you can purchase is endless, the the ease and speed at which you can buy and download a book is mindblowing.  Amazon says it takes less than 60 seconds - in my case it's almost consistently been 15 seconds.  Honest to God.  Always.

I have so many different books on my Kindle that depending on my mood I just start reading where I left off.  Reading gets your mind off things, strengthens your language and also improves your memory.  It's also an excellent way to unwind without any hassle or noise.  It's my favorite thing to do after a long day.

So, when you're home after a long day and you have a couple of hours till you go to bed - keep the TV switched off and read a book...

Or..

Eat a delicious meal with a friend.

Or look through some family pictures and smile at the memories they spark.

Or take a walk and smell the grass.

Or better yet, run through the field with your daughter and be child-like.

It's good for the soul.

  1. I agree with you completely.

It's the little things in life that bring great joy.
A good book combined with dimmed lights and a nice cup of tea is all it takes to make me happy.

    Great post!
